
New Albany, the birthplace of novelist William Faulkner, is located in northeast Mississippi. Conveniently located off Highway 78, New Albany is approximately 25 minutes from Tupelo and 60 minutes from Memphis, Tennessee. New Albany is approximately 35 miles east of Oxford on Highway 30.
The Tallahatchie RiverFest is held throughout downtown New Albany in the city's historic district. Many of the festival activities, including the ArtsFest, take place on and around the lawn of the Union County Courthouse, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
